Summary of Position

We are seeking an Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of psychiatric services at Temple Health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while teaching the next generation of psychiatrists in a collaborative academic environment.

 

 

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will: 

  • With case management support, deliver short-term medication management and transition-of-care services for patients discharged from the behavioral health units at Temple Episcopal Campus.
  • Maintain a panel of adult patients for ongoing care.
  • Teach and supervise psychiatry residents and other trainees in the outpatient setting, with an emphasis on psychotherapy, combined treatment approaches, and specialized medication management.
  • Participate in collaborative care initiatives through the department's integrated behavioral health programs.

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD, DO or foreign equivalent 
  • Board eligibility or certification in Psychiatry (APBN)
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license & DEA from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to employment
  • Commitment to excellence in patient care, medical education, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Interest in academic psychiatry, teaching, and scholarly activity preferred
