Summary of Position

Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University seeks qualified candidates for Director of its HLA/Immunogenetics Laboratory.

  • Team structure: 9 technologists + 1 manager; close-knit group with 24/7 stat on-call coverage.
  • Clinical collaboration: Monitor HLA antibody status pre- and post-transplant; estimate risk of antibody-mediated rejection for organ offers in sensitized/transplanted patients.

Candidate Qualifications

  • M.D. or Ph.D., or foreign equivalent.
  • ASHI approved as an HLA Director .
  • Certification as a laboratory director by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) with work experience is highly desirable.
  • PA licensure is also required for qualified M.D.
