Non-Tenure Track (NTT) Leadership Opportunity in Narrative Medicine and Health Humanities at Katz School of Medicine in Philadelphia
The Opportunity:
The Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM) is seeking an Assistant Director for the Narrative Medicine Program. Founded in 2016, this dynamic program provides curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular education, as well as events throughout the year open to the entire health system. Additionally, the program offers a 12-credit Graduate Certificate Program in Narrative Medicine for MD students.
Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Narrative Medicine and Health Humanities, the Assistant Director will play a crucial role in teaching, curriculum development, program management, and operational support. This position involves enhancing narrative competence for medical and health professions students, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration to create educational experiences, engaging in community outreach, and contributing to the program's strategic vision. The Assistant Director will also write and publish on areas of interest, mentor students and faculty, assist in faculty recruitment, promote narrative medicine initiatives, and support grant-seeking efforts.

Candidate Qualifications: MA, PhD, or equivalent degree in Narrative Medicine, Humanities, Social Sciences, or the Arts, and a strong academic record. Rank and compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
