Summary of Position

Temple Health is actively recruiting a fellowship-trained, BC/BE Stroke/Vascular Neurologists and BC/BE Neurohospitalists to join our expanding team. These positions includes opportunities to develop a career in clinical research, medical education, and/or quality improvement.

The Temple University Stroke program is a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center that participates in the Get With The Guidelines Stroke Program and has consistently achieved Gold Plus and Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite status. It has an active program of clinical trials though its affiliation with STOKENET (NIH funded). The Stroke Service sees 800-1000 cerebrovascular related admissions per year; the formal stroke prevention clinic uses evidenced based guidelines for risk factor modification; and a Telestroke/Telemedicine network for acute stroke consults provides coverage to neighboring community and rural hospitals.

The Neurosciences Center at Temple is one of the Philadelphia region's best facilities for the treatment of neurological disorders – offering a state-of-the-art diagnostic center, clinical trials, basic science/translational research, and a thriving neurology residency. The successful candidate will see patients at the Temple Health Science Campus and/or suburban partner locations. They will work closely with a collaborative team that includes other vascular neurologists, neurology trained neuro-critical care providers, vascular neurosurgeons, advanced practice nurses, and neurology residents.
