Summary of Position

The Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM) is seeking a fellowship-trained Trauma, Critical Care Surgeon to join its team-oriented faculty. The successful applicant will provide state-of-the-art care for the critically injured throughout all recovery phases at Temple University Health System. The new faculty member will be expected to develop an elective surgical practice, perform general emergency surgery and share equitable in-house call with the group, including the possibility of burn call. The hospital is fully committed to providing the highest level of care for its trauma and surgical critical care patients. The new faculty member will be expected to make clinical, academic, and research contributions to the department. The Department of Surgery offers potential candidates a uniquely supportive practice environment with an emphasis on quality patient care, research, education, individual career development, and collegiality among faculty members.

 

Applicants must possess an MD, MD/Ph.D or DO with active board certification in General Surgery, BE/BC in Surgical Critical Care, in possession of or eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and credentials that will qualify for a faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
