Summary of Position

The Temple Head and Neck Institute specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of hearing and balance disorders—from age-related hearing loss, to chronic ear infections, to persistent episodes of vertigo and more. We offer advanced diagnostic testing and audiology evaluations to pinpoint the cause of each patient's symptoms and determine the best course of treatment. This position would be treating adult patients only.

Highlights:
• Diagnostic: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessments and balance function testing to determine the nature and extent of patients' hearing and balance issues.
• Treatment and Rehabilitation: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including the dispensing of hearing aids, recommending amplification, and assisting with assistive listening devices.
• Counseling: Provide counseling to individuals on hearing loss, prevention strategies, and the benefits of amplification solutions.
• Cochlear Implantation: Collaborate as an essential member of the Cochlear Implantation Team to evaluate candidates and provide ongoing care.
• Vestibular Testing: Perform adult vestibular testing, including VNG, cVEMP, ECochG, and vHIT, to assess and manage patients with balance disorders.
• Teaching: Take an active role in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and audiology externs as part of our educational mission.

Candidate Qualifications
• Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD/PhD); Candidates in their last year of Doctoral training will also be considered.
• Ability to obtain PA licensure for audiology prior to the start date.
• Willingness and ability to obtain ASHA CCC-A certification upon graduation.
