Northwest Community Family Medicine Residency is seeking a dedicated and qualified full-time physician to join our team as Family Medicine Physician Faculty. Based in Philadelphia, this role offers the opportunity to practice in our primary office located in the vibrant neighborhood of Manayunk, with additional clinical practice at a satellite office in Wyncote, PA. Our program prides itself on a long-standing commitment to community medicine and sports medicine education. Clinical/Academic Responsibilities:
• Conduct 8 clinical sessions per week providing comprehensive family medicine care to a diverse patient population.
• Provide both traditional family medicine care and sports medicine, with a focus on joint injections, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and splinting, to a diverse patient population.
• Supervise inpatient rounding 7-8 weeks annually.
• Dedicated didactic opportunities for teaching
• Precept medical students and residents in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Engage in supervising and mentoring medical students and residents.
• Participate in clinic-based and academic research opportunities.
Qualifications:
• M.D. or D.O. with successful completion of an accredited residency training program in Family Medicine
• Board Certified in Family Medicine with a Sports Medicine Fellowship preferred.
• At least 1+ years of experience in family medicine with a strong interest in sports.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
