The Department of Family & Community Medicine (DFCM) seeks a qualified family medicine physician to join the faculty of our newly ACGME-approved 6/6/6 Family Medicine Residency program as a clinician educator.

The Department of Family and Community Medicine at LKSOM has been serving the community for over 120 years and currently has 7 core faculty members who are based at its main site at the Temple University Health Sciences Campus and an extensive number of adjunct, associate and affiliate members in our community. The Department is known both for its partnerships and outreach programs with the North Philadelphia community within which it is imbedded and for its integrated community-health care programs that improve health and reduce cost of care.

 

Candidate Qualifications
• M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent
• Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency program in Family Medicine prior to start date
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted DEA and medical license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to start date
• A strong interest in developing a vibrant clinical practice, medical education and clinical research; and sensitivity to the culture, needs, and aspirations of the community.
