Department of Anesthesiology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine and Temple Health is recruiting for a General Anesthesiologist for a full time faculty position.

Temple’s Anesthesiology Residency program provides exceptional clinical and academic training, offering an environment for residents to reach their maximum potential. Residents are exposed to diverse groups of patients who present with complex medical and social issues in both elective and emergent scenarios. The outstanding clinical experiences of the Temple Anesthesiology resident have created confident anesthesiologists and critical thinkers who stand their own on any ground.

Position Specifics:

• High volume inpatient and outpatient procedural anesthetic service
• Resident/CRNA supervision 85%, Own case 15%
• Case mix: trauma, vascular, transplants, orthopedic and neurosurgical cases
• Support the region’s busiest lung transplant program
• Participate in bedside teaching/didactics/simulations for residents & medical students
• Opportunity to conduct clinical research

Candidate Qualifications:

• Applicants must possess an M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent.  
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency or comparable internationally training 4+ years (at least 3+ years of anesthesiology-specific training) of post-graduate medical education may be considered in lieu of an ACGME residency prior to start date. .
• BE or BC by the American Board of Anesthesiology or Board Certified in anesthesiology from an ABA-approved certifying body, or eligible for entry to the ABA Alternate Entry Path program
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to employment.
